ROTARY’S CENTENNIAL PROJECTS – HOW DID WE DO?
What a year this has been! Rotarians are people of action and looking back over this year, and the last 100 years, we are very proud of the contributions we have made to Kingston and other parts of the world. Like all of you, the plans we made to celebrate our Centennial year were shattered by Covid. But we quickly pivoted to meet the new needs apparent to us all. THE WATERFRONT CLUB ADDS TO ROTARY’S COMMUNITY SERVICE
The Kingston Waterfront Rotary Club is the newest Rotary Club in Kingston, chartered in April of 2015. We are proud of our reputation as a “sweat equity” club and we happily assist other organizations and charities when volunteers are needed. We call these ‘one and done’ service projects and we've lent a hand to many: the Crohn's and Colitis Canada Gutsy Walk; the Canadian Cancer Society Relay for Life and Mudmoiselle events; and the Easter Seals and YMCA's Swim for Kids even

FAIRMOUNT HOME: A LONG-TERM RELATIONSHIP
Fairmount Home opened as a long-term care facility on outer Montreal Street, now Battersea Road, in 1968. The Rotary Club of Kingston-Frontenac, only two years old itself, realized the new facility would allow an excellent service opportunity for us to reach out in many ways.
